This is a guide to the "consider" system in EQ2.

[Bearbeiten] Overview
The most important thing to understand is this: in EQ2, monsters can have groups just like players have groups. You cannot split up monsters that are grouped.
There are three things to consider when sizing up an enemy:
- Level and color of the monster. (should be self-explanatory)
- Difficulty arrows beside each monster's name.
- Number of monsters that are linked together in the encounter.
These are described in more detail below.
[Bearbeiten] Difficulty Arrows
Each monster has up-arrows or down-arrows by its name. The arrows indicate how powerful it is for its level. Here is a rough guide:

[Bearbeiten] Encounter Composition
Creatures are linked into encounters. Typically, an encounter adds up to either Heroic or non-heroic difficulty. The pieces of the encounter add up in various ways:

Some common soloable encounters: |

Some common heroic encounters: |

[Bearbeiten] Can I Solo It?
Ask yourself the following questions:
- Does the monster have the word Heroic beside its name? - if it does, then the encounter is probably way too hard to solo, if it is your level. You may be able to solo one that is Heroic and blue, or one or two arrow up heroics, if green. Three arrow heroics need to be grey.
- How many creatures are linked together? - some classes are better at handling one strong monster, while other classes are better at handling crowds of easy monsters.
- Does the encounter add up to ▲? - these are the hardest types of soloable encounters for most classes, and might not be beatable, depending on your equipment and spell situation.
